a noun is a number, or a pair of nouns
everything in urbit is a noun, including programs
the whole operating system is one noun
- state, code, and sources included
- snapshotted, copied, and moved as one

arvo processes one event at a time
an event is a keystroke, a packet, a timer firing

replay

every event is written to a log before it runs
the state is a function of that log
